MC Bushpig's Bolemic Cover
I made a MIDI cover of a very wholesome song called "Bolemic Penis" by MC Bushpig! The reason is... I don't know. Apparently turning music into a collection of notes and instrument assignments is something I enjoy doing now.
There is something really neat about a gross sounding song like that being adapted into MIDI format. Yes, Swift Treweeke format has a very distinctive sound, especially when played using those good old "General MIDI" instruments that people associate with DOOM.
I think that's part of the appeal. MIDI doesn't necessarily have to sound realistic to be interesting. Sometimes, those very limitations are what makes it fun to work on.
Maybe I'll cover a few more songs? Or perhaps create some original ones. WHO KNOWS! After all, Milirats needs a new original soundtrack. PLUS, I was surprised to see that there's an animated "meme fad" based on it. Something something Animal Hospital, I don't know much about it. I've been following his work for over a decade and a half at this point, thanks to Newgrounds. So it was kinda shocking to see people interacting with his work again.
I hosted on both Tube and Newgrounds.
If you want to check out the original for some reason, here it is.
